Pullman DataCenter Migration

The Pullman DataCenter infrastructure migration was successfully completed as of Sunday, June 16, 2024, at approximately 3 p.m.

In June 2024, ITS’ Network Engineering team is replacing the hardware infrastructure in the Pullman DataCenter with new equipment, which will cause minor outages for services supported by impacted infrastructure components.

Schedule

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ITS’ Information Technology Building (ITB) and Sloan DataCenters will migrate to the new infrastructure.

ITB and Sloan DataCenters are complete.

8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Customer equipment in ITB 1010 will migrate to the new infrastructure.

Expected Outages

Several short outages of services supported by the Pullman DataCenter infrastructure where redundancy is not present will occur.

Impacted services that will experience outages include, but are not limited to:

  • Splunk
  • SCCM
  • Customer owned locally hosted websites,
  • Imaging
  • Airwave
  • ITS File Shares (its-fs1)
  • SLA file Shares (its-sla-fs02)
  • Customers who have services in ITB 1010
  • Tier 0 resources

Development and test virtual machines will also be shut down during the entire June 15 to June 16 weekend to aid in keeping as many production services as possible online.
