Crimson Service Desk is excited to offer excellent technical support via email, phone, and in-person at the team’s new walk-in location Holland 150, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Crimson Service Desk team is here to help with numerous tech questions! We offer one-on-one support through email, phone, and in-person.

Located on our website crimsonservicedesk.wsu.edu, Ask Butch is available 24/7 and capable of answering over 800 common issues. We also have a library of hundreds of self-help articles to provide immediate answers at all hours. Visit WSU’s Knowledge Base at kb.wsu.edu to view our support articles for commonly asked questions.

WSU offices with documentation or websites referencing CougTech should update this information and point visitors to the new Crimson Service Desk at crimsonservicedesk.wsu.edu. WSU employees are also encouraged to visit our site and see all we offer.

Faculty, Staff, and Students

Washington State University, through Information Technology Services, has officially partnered with several companies to provide educational pricing and discounts for individual, departmental, and personal purchases for WSU students, faculty, and staff.

Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe Creative Cloud is a set of applications and services from Adobe Inc. that gives subscribers access to a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, along with a set of mobile applications and also some optional cloud services.

Office 365 Software Subscription

This software subscription is available to enrolled students and active employees. For enrolled students, the subscription starts the first day of their first semester at WSU.

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching

Azure Dev Tools for Teaching is a Microsoft program to provide students with Microsoft software design, Microsoft developer tools, Cloud Computing Access and learning resources. This is available for all students and faculty. You are able to download software listed on the Azure website. Faculty, please be aware that while Azure software cannot be installed on the WSU-owned computers of individual faculty or staff, Azure software can be utilized in computer labs for lab situations to support education.

Departmental Software

Departments can obtain software for maintaining their daily operational infrastructure on university machines through WSU’s site licensing program. For more information, please refer to Software Site Licensing.

Teaching and Research Lab Software

Departmental labs that teach how to use Microsoft products, or use Microsoft products for research, may be eligible for lab use software. Please contact Crimson Service Desk for more information and program restrictions.

CSD Tools

Distributed IT support can get access to CSD Tools. This software allows IT support to assist users with account access, password assistance and MFA issues. To request access to this tool, email the Crimson Service Desk.
