Biography
Karen Garrett relocated to Pullman, Washington, in 2008 and became part of WSU ITS. Currently, she holds a dual role as the manager for Pullman Integrated Academic Technologies (PIAT) and a senior specialist in IT Project Management.
Karen contributed to the Administrative Professional Advisory Council and has held various positions, including Secretary, Chair, and Past Chair Executive Committee roles.
Before joining WSU, Karen owned an audio-visual company and provided desktop support across Kansas for a major Midwest bank. She also played a pivotal role in establishing IT support for a 24/7 Fortune 500 remote call center.
Karen’s passion lies in finding innovative solutions for her customers, always striving to achieve a positive outcome. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of Texas.
