Effective Wednesday, July 31, Information Technology Services (ITS) is removing third-party theming from the Crimson Service Desk customer portal and the WSU Knowledge Base.
Currently serving as primary resources for submitting requests for technical assistance and accessing self-service technical support articles, the Crimson Service Desk portal and WSU Knowledge Base will adopt a new visual interface following the removal of the platforms’ third-party customizations.
The functionality and content within both platforms will remain unaffected by this visual interface change. WSU users should also not expect any service outage as the interfaces update or access disruptions following July 31.
The removal of third-party theming will transition the platform interfaces to a simplified layout, ensuring these resources align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and provide an improved, inclusive online experience for the WSU community.
