Information Technology Services (ITS) would like to remind all areas that Office 365 add-on licenses for Visio, Project Pro, PowerBI Pro, PowerBI Premium, Power Apps, and Teams dial-in conferencing will expire June 30, 2023.
Please ensure purchases for add-on licenses assigned to users in your area are renewed prior to this expiration date to prevent loss of application access. Licensing documentation for products must be sent to Crimson Service Desk by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023.
As part of the renewal process, ITS will begin opening Jira tickets for your area and your area’s designated Area Technology Officer (ATO) with a list of current license counts for each product. To continue using the listed products, your area will be required to re-purchase the necessary license(s). Additionally, ITS’ add-on license program will expand this year and licenses for Teams Premium, Microsoft 365 A3, and Microsoft 365 A5 will soon become available for departments to purchase. The Microsoft 365 A3 license is recommended for areas that require an A3 license for a WSU user that is not a student, faculty, administrative professional employee, or civil service employee. The Microsoft 365 A5 license is recommended for areas that utilize Teams Secure Storage.
Please also expect to receive renewal notices from CDW-G if your area purchased licenses from them within the past year.
