Gemini and Gemini Notebook Availability at WSU

Good afternoon,

Tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 1, WSU faculty, staff, and students will receive university-wide communications introducing Gemini and Gemini Notebook, two Google tools that become available at no cost in October.

The details below offer an early look at what those communications will cover:

  • Licenses for Gemini and Gemini Notebook activate automatically; users do not need to sign up or submit a request.
  • Faculty and staff licenses activate Monday, Oct. 12.
  • Student licenses activate Monday, Oct. 19.
  • Users sign in with their WSU email address and password; MFA is required.
  • Virtual trainings for faculty and staff take place Wednesday, Oct. 14, and Thursday, Oct. 15. Tomorrow’s communication to employees will include the training registration link.
  • Students at WSU Pullman can visit the Gemini Lounge on Glenn Terrell Mall on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Thursday, Oct. 22. No registration is needed.

The Gemini and Gemini Notebook at WSU page brings together the full faculty and staff training schedule, Gemini Lounge details, and other launch information, and it will grow as new resources become available.

As you connect with colleagues and the people you support, please feel free to help spread the word. Encouraging faculty and staff to register for trainings, and inviting students at WSU Pullman to stop by the Gemini Lounge, can go a long way toward helping everyone make the most of these new tools.

Please contact Crimson Service Desk at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu with any questions.

Thank you,
