The following work is being completed: ITS is upgrading group policy for HTTP packets to allow large Kerberos tickets to be integrated into the packets.
All affected groups: ad.wsu.edu and mgthub.local forest computers
All affected processes: ITS will be making this change via group policy to the following domains: ad.wsu.edu, vetmed.wsu.edu, riverpoint.ad.wsu.edu, mgthub.local. The following registry keys will be created:
- Hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Key path SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters
- Value name MaxRequestBytes
- Value type REG_DWORD
- Value data 0xFFFE (65534)
- Hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Key path SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HTTP\Parameters
- Value name MaxFieldLength
- Value type REG_DWORD
- Value data 0x65534 (415028)
Duration of impact: There is no expected impact from this change on existing processes. Computers will begin using the new packet size upon the next reboot of the machine.
