Date: Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and Tuesday, July 14, 2026
The following work is being completed: ITS is decommissioning the legacy campus and role groups listed below according to the following schedule:
- March 31: Removal of Network IDs from legacy campus and role groups
- July 14: Removal of legacy campus and role groups
All affected groups:
- All WSU users
- WSU system, service, and application administrators who are using or referencing the legacy campus and role groups in their processes
All affected processes:
- This change impacts all ITS-provisioned legacy campus and role groups: student.* groups, employee.* groups, campus.students.* groups, and campus.students.* groups
- Examples of the impacted groups include:
- students.enrolled.undergraduate
- employees.active.civilservice
- pullman.active.faculty
- Impacted legacy groups are no longer maintained and have been replaced by role groups starting with RG_* and the campus groups starting with CG_*.
- Impacted legacy groups will continue to function due to nested membership and keep the new role and campus groups as members until July 13.
- Impacted legacy groups will no longer be available for use effective July 14.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent change.
Necessary follow-up steps: WSU administrators must remove and replace the legacy campus and role groups with the new role and campus groups starting with RG_ and CG_ respectively prior to July 14.
