Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:
Start Date: Monday, Jan. 5, 2026
End Date: Friday, Jan. 30, 2026
The following work is being completed: As part of the WSU System Wireless Refresh Project, ITS is replacing Cisco wireless access points (APs) in the following buildings at WSU Pullman on the dates listed:
- Jan. 5-7: Vogel Plant Biosciences Building and Johnson Hall Annex
- Jan. 7-9: Veterinary and Biomedical Research Building
- Jan. 20-22: Biotechnology/Life Sciences Facility
- Jan. 26-28: Plant Sciences Building
- Jan. 28-30: Engineering Teaching/Research Lab Building
All affected groups: Users connecting to WSU wireless networks in the listed buildings
All affected processes: ITS will replace APs one at a time. The wireless SSIDs will remain unchanged.
Duration of impact: Each AP will experience a network outage of up to 10 minutes as it is replaced. ITS will complete the AP migration of each building to the new infrastructure within one to three days, following the schedule above.
Necessary follow-up steps: Once the APs are replaced, users will need to re-connect or connect to the wireless network.
Please Note: As ITS coordinates work with vendors, we will promptly share any updates that may change the maintenance timeline, expected impact, technical requirements, or implementation procedures. We will ensure you remain informed of any planned or unplanned changes to this maintenance process.
