ITS is rescheduling the review for current M365 add-on license allocations to Sunday, July 20, from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. This allows additional time for processing submitted proof of purchase and minimizes service disruptions for WSU users whose departments have secured licenses.
ITS will now remove licenses from groups where the number of assigned users exceeds the number of licenses purchased to ensure alignment with the available license count on July 20. If proof of license purchase is not received before July 20, impacted WSU users will lose access to their M365 add-on services.
ITS continues to request that WSU departments submit receipts for all M365 add-on license purchases as soon as possible. Please submit this information to Crimson Service Desk via Jira or via email at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu.
Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:
Date: Tuesday, July 15, 2025
Start Time: 8 p.m.
End Time: 11:59 p.m.
The following work is being completed: The grace period for fiscal year Microsoft 365 (M365) add-on license renewals is expiring. As part of this process, ITS will review current add-on license allocations. Groups with more users assigned than the number of licenses purchased will have users removed to ensure alignment with the available license count.
All affected groups: WSU users assigned M365 add-on service licenses
All affected processes: Access to O365 add-on services may be disrupted for users in groups with license purchase discrepancies
Duration of impact: Users may experience service disruptions, including temporary removal, if proof of license purchase has not yet been submitted to and verified by ITS.
Necessary follow-up steps: WSU departments are encouraged to document all M365 add-on license purchases and submit corresponding receipts to ITS as soon as possible to avoid any service interruption.
