The following work is being completed: Microsoft is introducing a new calendar experience in Teams. Once implemented, the Calendar app will automatically default to a new interface.
All affected groups: WSU Microsoft Teams users who currently use the Calendar app and utilize the legacy interface.
All affected processes:
- The toggle to switch between legacy and new calendar views will be removed.
- The legacy calendar experience will retire.
- The new Microsoft 365 calendar will be the only available calendar option in Teams.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent, Microsoft-driven change.
Necessary follow-up steps: Microsoft will automatically transition WSU users to the new Teams calendar experience.
Additional information: Users who have not yet transitioned are encouraged to begin using the new Teams calendar interface to become familiar with its features ahead of the permanent change. Get started now with the new calendar in Microsoft Teams.
