Tech Tools New Version Release, 6/10

Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process: 

Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2025

Start Time: 8 p.m. 
End Time: 8:30 p.m. 

The following work is being completed: ITS is releasing an updated version of Tech Tools to address bug fixes and introduce new tools. Tech Tools will remain online as the service is updated.  In addition, legacy tools will be removed from HD Tools. Tech Tools and HD Tools will remain online as the service is updated.  

HD Tools servers are planned to be decommissioned effective June 24th, 2025. Tech Tools will completely replace HD Tools before the shutdown date. The final 1.14 release for Tech Tools is planned to move to production June 17th, one week before the server shutdown. The full release schedule can be viewed in the child pages of the Tech Tools Development Tasks Confluence page. ITS will issue further communications on this change in the coming weeks.

Duration of impact: No outage is expected. All updates are permanent unless addressed in a future version release. The entire maintenance window is reserved for this work.

Additional information: Visit ITS’ Tech Tools development tasks resource to review scheduled feature releases and submit new feature requests. This resource is available to all WSU users with a Confluence license. If you are interested in testing new features, you can do so in the Tech Tools test environment.
