Update from Aug. 18 at 1 p.m. – ITS Networks Engineers are still investigating this with vendor support and anticipate updating the Pullman Campus Firewall boxes. Additional communication will be made prior to any upgrades.
There was a failure at approximately 2 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, on the Pullman Campus Firewall. Information Technology Services’ (ITS) Network Engineering team was notified at approximately 5:50 a.m.
All internal datacenter resources were lost at that point.
Network Engineers found the links that were shut down to the firewall due to load. A failover was performed to restore to services.
At this time, network services are stable and being actively monitored by engineering staff. Support cases are being opened with vendors.
