Information Technology Services is currently upgrading the phone systems in WSU Pullman General University Classrooms (GUCs) to Zoom phones and service. All upgrades will be complete by Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Non-GUC classrooms and spaces will retain existing equipment, and are not a part of the change at this time.
Faculty are encouraged to review the “Pullman GUC Phone User Guide” section in the following resource for images and instructions for the new phone system before their next GUC class: Pullman Zoom Phone Migration
New phones in GUCs will operate on Zoom Phone infrastructure and include a speed-dial feature for classroom technology support via Pullman Integrated Academic Technologies (PIAT). Calls to phone numbers outside of WSU will not be supported.
This upgrade is part of WSU Pullman’s broader transition to Zoom Phone, which will modernize the campus phone system and improve overall communication capabilities
