The following work is being completed: ITS is modifying the workflow for creating new Microsoft Teams, SharePoint sites, and Microsoft 365 Groups to require review and approval from Area Technology Officers (ATOs).
All affected groups:
- ATOs
- WSU employees requesting a new Teams site, SharePoint site, or Microsoft 365 group
All affected processes:
- ITS is creating a new form within the Crimson Service Desk Jira request portal for requesting a new SharePoint site.
- ITS is migrating the current form for requesting a new Microsoft 365 Group to the Crimson Service Desk Jira request portal.
- ITS is updating the current form for requesting a new Teams site that already exists within the Crimson Service Desk Jira request portal.
- All forms for requesting these specific Microsoft resources will include a list of ATOs and require the selection of an ATO to submit the request.
- New requests will be routed to ATOs for review and approval prior to provisioning.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent change. No service outage or disruption is expected during this maintenance window.
Necessary follow-up steps: WSU employees will be required to select their ATO to continue with requesting a new Teams site, SharePoint site, or Microsoft 365 Group. ATOs will then need to review new requests and approve the creation of the Microsoft resource.
