The following work is being completed: ITS is placing a freeze on new VPN role-based network (RBN) creation. ITS is implementing this freeze to facilitate the upcoming migration of VPN services to the Seattle TierPoint firewalls as part of the Palo Alto Firewall Support renewal.
All affected groups: WSU Pullman RBN customers
All affected processes: During the change freeze, no new VPN RBNs will be created. Any requests received during this change freeze will be created once the freeze is lifted.
Duration of impact: This change freeze will be in effect until VPN services are migrated to Seattle. This is expected to be complete by late December for most WSU users; additional information regarding schedule and impact for the VPN service migration will be shared at a later time. Urgent VPN RBN requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
