The following work is being completed: ITS is transitioning the emergency contact information management process from myWSU to Everbridge. As part of this change, the emergency contact application in myWSU will be decommissioned. Everbridge will become the new platform for managing emergency contact details and emergency notifications.
All affected groups: WSU faculty, staff, and students
All affected processes:
- All WSU faculty, staff, and students will be automatically enrolled in Everbridge with emergency notifications enabled. Users may update or opt out as needed.
- Everbridge enrollment will use WSU email addresses and phone numbers sourced from myWSU and Workday.
- The Emergency Notification tile and links to update emergency contact information will remain in myWSU and redirect users to Everbridge, where users can make updates.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent change. No service outage or disruption is expected during the maintenance window.
Necessary follow-up steps: WSU faculty, staff, or students who would like to update their contact information for emergency campus notifications or manage notification preferences (opt in or out) should do so through Everbridge.
