SharePoint to Remove Retired DISCO/WSDL Pages, August 2025

Please see the following scheduled Microsoft change:

Date: Between mid-August and mid-September 2025 (An exact implementation date for WSU’s Microsoft environment is unavailable.)

The following work is being completed: Microsoft SharePoint Online is removing retired ASP.NET DISCO and WSDL web pages. ASP.NET web services were retired in 2013 and are likely currently no longer in use.

All affected groups: WSU users who may still be using DISCO and WSDL pages as their web services proxy

All affected processes: Availability of DISCO and WSDL pages in SharePoint Online

Duration of impact: This is a permanent, Microsoft-driven change.

Necessary follow-up steps: Impacted users are advised to use the Microsoft Graph API for remote operations.
