The following work is being completed: ITS is releasing an updated version of Tech Tools to address bug fixes and introduce new tools. Tech Tools will remain online as the service is updated.
All affected groups: WSU Tech Tools users
All affected processes: This version update (v1.04) will:
- Provide the ability to enable/disable AD accounts
- Improved Phished NID process that incorporates the disabled AD functionality
- Rework of the AD Status feature to provide better reliability and speed
- Fixed a bug where Okta users who do not have an associated AD account would cause the tool to break
- Provide Tech Tools with the ability to allow users with SMS/Phone MFA to opt into the MFA of their choice at the next login.
- If a user does not migrate from SMS/Voice by March 25th, Tech Tools will allow employees to prompt the configuration of one of the below MFA options at their next login:

Duration of impact: No outage is expected. All updates are permanent unless addressed in a future version release. The entire maintenance window is reserved for this work.

Additional information: Visit ITS’ Tech Tools development tasks resource to review scheduled feature releases and submit new feature requests. This resource is available to all WSU users with a Confluence license. If you are interested in testing new features, you can do so in the Tech Tools test environment.
