The following work is being completed: To aid in troubleshooting recent email delivery issues impacting less than 1% of messages traversing through WSU’s SMTP servers, ITS is changing the current configuration for Enhanced Filtering to automatically detect and skip the last IP address per Microsoft’s recommendation. Each of the six connectors will be switched over one by one to use this option. The current configuration skips the IP addresses for the email filter, since all email is routed through the filter before being sent to Defender, this change should be inconsequential.

All affected processes: Microsoft Defender Enhanced Filtering for connectors
Duration of impact: No service outage is expected, but the entire maintenance window is reserved for this work.
