The following work is being completed: ITS is implementing a bypass in Defender for Exchange to prevent Defender from re-evaluating emails already validated by ProofPoint. This change is at the recommendation of ProofPoint support and is in line with their configuration best practices. This maintenance will not affect the visible functionality of WSU email.
All affected groups: WSU Exchange users
All affected processes: Microsoft Defender’s anti-spam module
Duration of impact: No service outage is expected, but the entire maintenance window is reserved for this work.
