Pullman Campus Firewall Gateway Changes, 2/26

Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025

Start Time: 8 p.m.

End Time: 9 p.m.

The following work is being completed: ITS is performing the following work on the Pullman Campus Firewall:

  • Decommissioning legacy building VLAN 123 (134.121.191.254/21) – All systems in this IP space that are turned on have been migrated to role-based networks or private building VLAN 123.
  • Migrating the building/21 networks to a separate vsys (firewall within a firewall) to provide improved network segregation. This will help resolve issues that occurred as a result of the Jan. 2 migration of these networks to the Pullman Campus Firewall.

All affected groups: Pullman Building network customers

All affected processes: Network/internet connectivity from systems using an IP in the legacy building VLAN 123 (134.121.184.0 – 134.121.191.255). No other impacts are expected.

Duration of impact: This is a permanent change.

Necessary follow up steps: If a system has a static IP address assigned from that network which is currently not powered on, it will need to be changed to DHCP to pull an IP address in the private building VLAN 123.
