Please see the following scheduled Microsoft change:
Date: Wednesday, May 27, 2026
The following work is being completed: Microsoft is retiring the legacy backend endpoint for the Power Platform Dataflows connector in the Excel desktop application. Devices running Excel desktop versions earlier than Build 16.0.17932.20732 may lose connectivity to Power Platform Analytical Dataflows.
All affected groups: Users connecting to Power Platform Analytical Dataflows via Excel desktop and using a version earlier than Build 16.0.17932.20732.
All affected processes:
- Excel desktop versions earlier than Build 16.0.17932.20732 will be unable to connect data from Power Platform Analytical Dataflows when Microsoft retires the legacy endpoint.
- Retired Office versions will permanently lose connectivity, requiring an upgrade to a supported Office version.
- Excel desktop versions at or newer than Build 16.0.17932.20732 are not impacted.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent, Microsoft-driven change.
Necessary follow-up steps: Confirm Excel desktop applications are updated to Build 16.0.17932.20732 or newer on all supported devices before May 27 to maintain connectivity with Power Platform Analytical Dataflows. Learn more: How to Update Microsoft 365 or Office for Windows
