The following work is being completed: The following legacy Windows products will reach end of support according to the schedule below:
- Oct. 13, 2026: Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2016
- Oct. 13, 2026: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2016 LTSB
- Jan. 12, 2027: Windows Server 2016
All affected groups: Users accessing or WSU technical support staff managing devices configured with the listed legacy versions
All affected processes: Devices running the impacted versions will no longer receive Windows security updates, non-security updates, bug fixes, technical support, or online technical content updates.
Duration of impact: This is a permanent, Microsoft-driven change.
Necessary follow-up steps:
- Plan to Migrate Devices: Plan to upgrade impacted devices to a newer version of Windows or Windows Server before the end of support dates.
