Cisco Voicemail Account Removal, 2/11

Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:

Date: Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026

The following work is being completed: ITS will remove approximately 1,800 Cisco voicemail accounts that show no activity within the past 180 days.

All affected groups: WSU Pullman users with Cisco voicemail accounts

All affected processes: ITS will delete Cisco voicemail accounts that users have not accessed by telephone in the last 180 days. This deletion is permanent, and ITS cannot recover deleted accounts or their messages.

Duration of impact: This is a permanent change.

Necessary follow-up steps:

  • Review Impacted Accounts: Please work with Area Technology Officers (ATOs) to review impacted voicemail accounts scheduled for deletion and determine whether any action is needed to retain an account.
  • Retain a Voicemail Account: Log in to the voicemail account by telephone. Dial 509‑335‑MAIL (6245) and enter the PIN. Login via telephone resets the inactivity counter and removes the account from the deletion list.
  • Retain Messages: Log in to the web voicemail inbox to download messages for retention.
    • Please Note: Web access does not reset the inactivity counter. The voicemail account will still be deleted unless accessed via telephone.
  • If Login is Not PossibleSubmit a ticket to Crimson Service Desk for assistance with voicemail account access.
