Pullman Wireless Network Refresh, 11/2 to 12/4

Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:

Start Date: Monday, Nov. 2, 2026

End Date: Friday, Dec. 4, 2026

The following work is being completed: As part of the WSU System Wireless Refresh Project, ITS is replacing wireless access points (APs) in the following WSU Pullman buildings:

  • Nov. 2 to Nov. 6: Murrow Hall (0033E), Jackson Hall (0033W), Goertzen Hall (0033A)
  • Nov. 9 to Nov. 13: Morrill Hall (0024), Thompson Hall (0001)
  • Nov. 16 to Nov. 20: Bryan Hall (0002), VanDoren Hall (0037), Avery Hall (0809)
  • Nov. 30 to Dec. 4: Kimbrough Hall (0025), Miller Indoor Baseball Training Facility (0372C), and Equipment Storage Building (0835A)

ITS will begin work as early in the business day as possible and will coordinate with classroom schedules in 25Live to avoid conflicts.

All affected groups: Users connecting to WSU wireless networks in the buildings listed above

All affected processes:

  • Wireless connectivity in areas each AP serves will be disrupted as they are replaced.
  • ITS will replace APs one at a time, allowing wireless service to remain available in other areas of the building throughout the work.
  • Wireless SSIDs will remain unchanged.

Duration of impact: Each AP will experience a network outage of up to 10 minutes during its replacement. ITS will complete AP replacements for each building within one to three days, following the schedule above.

Necessary follow-up steps: Devices may need to reconnect to the wireless network after ITS replaces a nearby AP.
