Effective June 29, 2026, WSU has updated the process for submitting Canvas integration requests. Faculty and department schedulers who request Canvas integrations are encouraged to review the changes outlined below.
The new request process introduces two updates:
- Request Form: All Canvas integration requests must now be submitted through a standardized form that captures intended use, audience, cost, support needs, and other requirements. This ensures reviewers have the information necessary to conduct a thorough evaluation of each request.
- Submission Deadlines: Since a thorough security and integration review requires careful evaluation and effort, requests must be submitted according to the following schedule:

| Fall Semester | March 15 of the same calendar year | Requests to publish integrations by Fall 2027 are due March 15, 2027 |
| Spring or Summer Semester | Sept. 15 of the prior calendar year | Requests to publish integrations by Spring 2027 are due Sept. 15, 2026 |
Beginning Sept. 15, 2026, submission deadlines will be in effect. Requests received after the applicable deadline may not be reviewed in time for the intended implementation date.
New Canvas integration requests should be submitted via the new request form in accordance with the deadlines above.
