A new role, Undergraduate TA, is now available in myWSU for Canvas courses that use undergraduate teaching assistants (TAs). This role gives undergraduate TAs access to the Canvas Gradebook while not allowing them to access the Grade Roster in myWSU where midterm and final grades are submitted.
This change ensures undergraduate TA access is limited to grading tasks and access to course assessments and materials in Canvas. Only faculty or graduate student course instructors will have access to formal grade submission in myWSU, supporting appropriate access controls for each role.
This role is available now on the Maintain LMS Users page in myWSU and can be assigned to undergraduate TAs as needed.
