Information Technology Services (ITS) will complete wireless network updates at WSU Pullman on the dates listed below. These updates may cause brief interruptions to wireless network service in limited areas of the buildings listed.
ITS is completing this work as part of an ongoing effort to improve wireless reliability, performance, and service across WSU.
Maintenance Schedule
- Dates: July 1 to August 21
- Days: Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays)
- Time: 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What to Expect
Brief Wireless Interruptions: Users may experience weak signals or wireless outages lasting up to 10 minutes in small, localized areas within the impacted buildings.
Wired Connections: Users can continue to use wired internet connections where available.
Classroom Coordination: ITS will review classroom schedules and schedule work to avoid disrupting classes.
Buildings Included in This Phase
ITS will complete wireless network updates in the buildings listed below. This work includes replacing wireless access points (APs), which provide wireless network coverage throughout parts of each building.
The following buildings will have a larger number of APs being replaced in July:
- July 6 to July 8: Schnitzer Museum of Art (0084)
- July 27 to July 31: French Administration Building (0092)
- July 27 to July 31: Lighty Student Services Building (0092A)
The buildings listed in the table below will have a smaller number of APs being replaced throughout July and August. You may use this guide to understand when work may impact these buildings:
- Staged: ITS has not yet completed required updates in this building.
- Complete: ITS finished all updates in this building, and users should not expect additional wireless disruptions.
Please be aware that all updates affect only localized areas where ITS will perform work, not entire buildings.
