Cisco VoIP Server Updates, 5/5 and 5/6

Please see the following scheduled Information Technology Services (ITS) maintenance process:

Date: Tuesday, May 5, and Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Start Time: 6 p.m. (each day)

End Time: 11 p.m. (each day)

The following work is being completed: ITS is updating Cisco VoIP servers for critical security patching.

All affected processes: Cisco VoIP phone systems may briefly reregister during the initial update and again upon completion. 

During this process, phones should retain normal service through automatic server failover for call registration.

Duration of impact: No service outage or disruption is expected during this maintenance window.

Necessary follow-up steps: If any phone issues are encountered during this maintenance window, please cycle the power on the phone by unplugging the cable from the back of the phone and plugging it back in.
