Starting July 1, 2025, WSU faculty and staff will be eligible to purchase a license for Microsoft 365 Copilot through their departments. Microsoft 365 Copilot is a paid, advanced generative AI tool that integrates directly with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other applications.
At this time, WSU faculty, administrative professionals, civil service employees, affiliates, and courtesy employees are eligible for a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Eligible employees must:
- Have a Microsoft A1, A3, or A5 license
- Have access to and complete the required Responsible Use of AI training via Percipio
- Submit an attestation via Jira confirming training completion and understanding of responsible use
