To support the transition away from SMS for multi-factor authentication (MFA), Information Technology Services (ITS) is updating the SMS verification message for WSU users who request a text code to log in. Beginning today, Feb. 12, effective immediately, the message will state:
“On March 25th WSU is dropping SMS/text. Change your MFA at account.wsu.edu or see go.wsu.edu/mfa for details.”

Please ensure your teams continue assisting WSU users in transitioning to an alternative MFA method before March 25, as SMS and Voice Call will no longer be an option after that date. Additional resources are available at go.wsu.edu/mfa.
