Please see the following scheduled Microsoft-driven changes:
Date: Wednesday, March 12, 2025, and Monday, April 14, 2025
The following work is being completed:
- March 12: Microsoft is removing the ‘My Feed’ web part from the toolbox in SharePoint’s edit page experience. Site editors will not be able to add a ‘My Feed’ web part to a site after this date.
- April 14: Microsoft is ending support for the ‘My Feed’ web part in SharePoint.
All affected groups: WSU SharePoint Online users utilizing the ‘My Feed’ web part
All affected processes: Any ‘My Feed’ web parts that have not been replaced or removed from a SharePoint page by April 14 will result in an empty web part that no longer displays content and instead, displays an error message.
Duration of impact: These are permanent, Microsoft-driven changes.
Necessary follow up steps: Site editors are encouraged to use alternative web parts in SharePoint such as News, Viva Engage, File and Media, Highlighted content, video pages, and similar.
