Following Microsoft’s release of new Outlook for Windows, WSU users now have the option to access this upgraded desktop app version on their Windows devices. However, due to significant feature and functionality limitations identified since its release, Information Technology Services (ITS) is unable to support or recommend the use of new Outlook for Windows.
WSU users on Windows devices are strongly advised to use the classic version of the Outlook desktop app to maintain access to expected email services and ensure that ITS can provide full support for any issues or disruptions. At this time, Microsoft is also expected to continue to fully support classic Outlook for Windows until 2029.
