Descriptive Tags Required for Qualtrics Survey, 8/5

Starting Monday, August 5, Information Technology Services (ITS) is enabling new descriptive tags for WSU Qualtrics surveys.

Once enabled, users will be required to select one tag from each of the following categories when publishing any survey in the WSU Qualtrics environment:

  • Billing Organization: WSU department or college that the survey is associated with.
  • Billing Campus: WSU campus most relevant to the survey’s target population or location.
  • Survey Purpose: Reason that best describes the intent of the survey.

All surveys, including those created prior to August 5, must follow the new tag process for successful publishing.

For a comprehensive list of available tags for each category, along with an image of the new tag prompt, please review the Qualtrics Tagging WSU Knowledge Base article.

Designed to improve survey organization and reporting, the descriptive tags will allow WSU to track the organization who is responsible for paying the billable responses generated by every survey.

ITS encourages technical support teams to assist faculty and staff in selecting the most appropriate tags when publishing new surveys to promote consistency in tag usage across your areas and ensure accurate reporting.
