The Enterprise Systems Group (ESG) has implemented the new course evaluation system, eXplorance Blue, to all courses offered in the spring 2017 semester. This implementation has move the course evaluations from a paper-based system to an online delivery of all course evaluations. eXplorance Blue is a centrally-supported online system for the development, distribution, administration, collection, analysis, and reporting of student feedback on courses and instruction. To deliver the new online course evaluations, ESG works with each college to identify the specifics of how the course evaluation process is structured and administered for all campuses and locations where the college offers courses. The eXplorance Blue course evaluation data together with guidelines from the provost, colleges and assessment criteria helps WSU create an institutional framework for student feedback.
Moving forward, starting with the fall of 2017, ESG will be enhancing the current eXplorance Blue software offerings to add new features and functionality that are included in the recent upgrade to eXplorance Blue version 7. These new features and functionality will be integrated into the course evaluations for all colleges, including the first cohort of students in the Elson S Floyd College of Medicine. ESG is working together with the provost’s office and the leadership in the ESF College of Medicine to develop and plan their implementation of the course evaluations within eXplorance Blue. ESG will continue to offer support and leadership on the implementation of the online course evaluation offerings.
