The following work is being completed: ITS will apply updates to the VMware component of the core phone servers. During the maintenance windows specified below, half of the phone services will be patched and rebooted, while the other half maintains phone services.
Date: 8/3 8:00 PM – 11:59 PM — Updates will be applied the 1st half of the core phone servers and the Everett phone server
Date: 8/4 8:00 PM – 11:59 PM — Updates will be applied to the 2nd half of the core phone servers.
Duration of impact: No impact is expected for active calls. See Follow up steps below for more information about how phones are affected.
All affected groups: WSU Pullman, WSU Everett, WSU Seattle, and CAHNRS REU.
All processes affected: Core phone servers.
Follow-up steps customers need to take: When the core phone servers are restarted, phones on campus will re-register multiple times, and if the phones show as unregistered the next day, please unplug the phone, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in again. Continued outages should be reported to the Crimson Service Desk.
