Beginning the evening of Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Information Technology Services (ITS) is implementing new changes to my.wsu in order to alleviate system overload during high-traffic times due to semester start-up and daily COVID-19 attestations.

First, beginning Wednesday, August 19, 2020, ITS will be implementing a new connection queue which will manage the number of users allowed to access my.wsu. When the maximum number of users is reached, those logging in will be directed to a page notifying them that site traffic is heavy and that they will be redirected back to myWSU again following a two-minute wait. During this wait, users will have the ability to attempt logging in again, or they can simply wait for the system to automatically try their login again every two minutes. Once a user has successfully accessed myWSU, they will not be interrupted unless they log out, or their session times out due to inactivity.

Additionally, to reduce queue wait times, the usual 30-minute inactivity timeout will be temporarily changed to 10 minutes, beginning at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22. The inactivity timeout will revert back to 30 minutes at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26.
